I am a student at Chapel Hill Highschool who has a passion for Environmental Science, as well as an interest in global sustainability combined with the practical needs involved in the support of a global population climbing toward 10 billion people through intelligent, thoughtful, and balanced commercial technology development. Our generation should cultivate leadership to show that many of our global challenges have solutions that begin at the local and community level. My strategy is to lead by example in the development of the solution of current, future, and legacy global pollution caused by the self-inflicted accumulation of unsustainably handled materials that could otherwise be recycled in useful ways, with my first focus being the remediation and upcycling of Styrofoam. My objective is to demonstrate that a global solution can be initiated by a small handful of determined individuals with well-formulated technical, cultural, and policy approaches.

I am a student at Smith Middle School. I have a passion for using technology and innovation to help solve the current environmental crisis. I believe that no matter the age, everyone can play their part in working together to help the planet. We try to lead as examples of how to do this. Our first focus is using solar energy to reduce size and increase the density of styrofoam. My goal is to use this as an example of how other young people can change the world, especially regarding sustainability as this environmental crisis is mostly left in our future hands.
